Pam
introduced our speaker. In so
doing, Pam spoke of her own experiences in finding mentors when she began
her accounting practice. Sloane
Reali is a youth advocate and teaches an independent living program for
foster youth at Santa Barbara City College.
She gave a spirited program, with plenty of audience participation. She

then discussed the Independent Living Program and the real life practical
experiences offered to participants in the program, and urged us to

We
then split into very small groups and shared our definitions of a mentor.
Among those offered were: Teacher
Advisor Role
Model Adamscheck
who told us of an experience her husband has had in motivating a young man
to become educated in a trade.
