September 2006
Dear SBBA Members,
I hope everybody had a nice summer. Fall is arriving so quickly and I find this a great time to review financial statements and systems, and start reminding clients to make an appointment with their CPA if they need any tax planning. Those clients that have intentions of incorporating or changing entity types should be reminded not to wait until December to discuss it with their CPA and/or attorney. Most of them don’t realize how much work is involved in the transition and that we actually can do a lot of preparation ahead of time if we know about it.
We have a great speaker this month, and the Nominating Committee will present the slate of Officers for the upcoming year, so we postponed our annual “Bring a CPA to lunch” this meeting.
I hope to see everybody at this month’s meeting!
